Running a small business is an uphill challenge. I began Roundz Catering in 2004. Building on that success, I opened Roundz Gourmet Market in 2011 with the goal of growing the catering operation and serving healthy gourmet food to my community.
Since that day, I’ve met many new friends and have enjoyed amazing support from loyal clientele. I’ve had the opportunity to work with local farmers, businesses, charity groups and countless others. I’ve also been blessed greatly by popular success.
However, as every small business owner knows, popular success doesn’t always translate into financial success and the rigors of ownership leave little time for family life.
So, at the end of April, I will close Roundz to spend more time with my family and pursue other interests. I will honor all existing catering commitments with the same standard of excellence Roundz has operated under for almost a decade.
I will continue to accept catering events that can be executed before the end of April, 2014. Also, we will host Roundz After Dark on March 15 and April 12, along with as many Chef's Tables as possible. If you have ever wanted to try one of these special dining events, now is the time!
My wife Jennifer and I express our deepest appreciation to the great clients of Roundz for their loyalty and our heartfelt thanks to our friends for their unwavering support. I also thank my staff for their hard work and commitment.
I remain very passionate about my craft and will continue to follow culinary pursuits. I look forward to new opportunities and will try to keep everyone informed as I begin new ventures, remembering that it is still, as it has been for years, all about “life, love, food!”
